The Empowerment Collective offers dance workshops with short except performances to support participants in their own self-empowerment and self-care through the arts.

Teaching artists are committed to developing a creative environment that helps build awareness for women/girls/gender queer participants to expect the best for themselves, to be aware of their worth in a society that does not often promote healthy choices, and that they are entitled to be treated respectfully.

Teaching aritsts have included dance and performance artists:

Milteri Tucker Concepcion,

Tatiana Desardouin,

Fana Fraser,

Caridad De La Luz,

Rokafella and

Noemi Segarra-Ramirez

Past Empowerment Collective Events

The Empowerment Collective brings teaching artists into community centres to meet directly with girls, young women, and women-identifying/gender nonconforming youth to help make a difference.
